The owl at the top represents my sister because she likes owls. My dad is the beaver because I thought it suited him. My brother is the squirrel because I thought that one would best represent him. I'm the cat because cats are my favorite animal. My mom is also a beaver because I thought it fit her.
I chose to do these animals on my totem pole because it represents my sister,brother and I. The top represents my brother and is a squirrel. The middle one represents my sister and is an owl. The bottom one represents me and is a cat. I am happy with how my totem pole turned out because of the colors. I learned that to make clay art look good there has to be a design or something all the way around it. Something I would have done differently is paint more coats of glaze on it.

The problems i faced when making this were i didn't know how to make it look unique after i painted a solid color on and I solved that by adding a shimmery pearl color to the top of it. I learned how to do paper mache and how to make a paper mache animal by doing this.
